New Rules for Intermediate Division
Please note that the age range for the Intermediate division has expanded.
For many years, the age for Intermediate has been restricted to 13 year olds only, but starting this season, the age group will be expanded to include 12 year olds as well, more specifically, players with late year birthdays after the August cutoff will now be able to register in either Major or Intermediate divisions.
During team selection, priority will be given to the players who have aged into the Intermediate division by the Little League Age chart as seen above. Next, priority will be given to the players who will be turning 13 in the given calendar year, but who are 12 at the start of the season.
If there are too many players and multiple teams cannot be made, then the underaged players will be subject to a tryout, with the highest rated players moved to playing Intermediate and the others moved into Major.
With all that stated, Bow Valley Little League suggests that all players play at least 2 seasons in Major.
