Rules for Intermediate Division

Intermediate Division Age Range Update
Please note that the age range for the Intermediate division was expanded last season.
For many years, the Intermediate division was restricted to 13-year-olds only. However, the age group now includes 12-year-olds with late-year birthdays (after the August cutoff). These players may register in either the Major or Intermediate divisions.
Team Selection Process
During team selection, priority will be given as follows:
- Players who have aged into the Intermediate division based on the Little League Age Chart (as seen above).
- Players turning 13 in the calendar year but who are still 12 at the start of the season.
If the number of registered players exceeds capacity and multiple teams cannot be formed, underage players (12-year-olds) will be required to participate in a tryout. The highest-rated players will be placed in Intermediate, while others will play in Major.
Recommendation
Bow Valley Little League recommends that all players complete at least two seasons in the Major division before moving to Intermediate.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we aim to provide the best development experience for all our players!
