U11- Minors
The Little League Minors division is a developmental program for players aged 9 to 10 years old who are ready to take their baseball skills to the next level. At Bow Valley Little League, the Minors division introduces more advanced gameplay while continuing to emphasize skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game.
Program Highlights
- Age Group: 9–10 years old. Refer to the Little League Baseball Age Chart below to confirm your child’s division eligibility.
- Gameplay: Players transition to hitting off live pitching from other players while learning the fundamentals of pitching, fielding, and in-game strategy.
- Skill Development: Focus on refining core baseball skills, including:
- Pitching and catching
- Throwing and fielding
- Base running
- Batting against live pitching
- Team Play: Structured gameplay introduces players to positions, situational awareness, and teamwork in a more competitive setting.
- Fun & Growth: While competition increases, the program continues to prioritize:
- Building confidence and skills
- Encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork
- Maintaining a fun and supportive environment
Program Details
- When: Twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 8 weeks, starting the first week of May.
- Where: Practices and games are held at Elk Run Diamonds.
- Time: Practices typically run from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM, with games often extending to 8:30 PM.
- $210.00 per player
