U17- Senior
The Senior Division is designed for players aged 15 to 16 years old who are ready to compete at the most advanced level of Little League baseball. This division offers competitive play on a full-sized field and focuses on honing skills and game knowledge to prepare players for higher-level opportunities.
Program Highlights
- Age Group: 15–16 years old. Refer to the Little League Baseball Age Chart below to confirm eligibility.
- Field Size: Players compete on a full-sized field with:
- 90-foot base paths
- 60 feet, 6 inches pitching distance
- Advanced Play: Full baseball rules are in effect, including:
- Leading off and stealing
- Pickoffs and advanced base running strategies
- Complex game tactics and situational play
- Skill Development: Focus on mastering advanced baseball skills, including:
- Pitching and hitting
- High-level defense and positional play
- Situational awareness and in-game strategy
- Competitive Environment: Players experience:
- A challenging and rewarding atmosphere
- Emphasis on teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
- Opportunities to showcase their skills and build confidence
Program Details
- When: Twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 8 weeks, starting as soon as fields open and running until the end of June.
- Where: Practices and home games are held at Millennium Park.
- Time:
- Practices typically run from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
- Games occur during the week and on weekends, often running longer with irregular times.
- Interlocking Play: The Senior division is interlocked with Calgary, providing opportunities to compete against teams from neighboring leagues.
