13- Intermediate
The Intermediate Division is designed for players aged 13 years old who are ready to transition to a larger field and experience a higher level of baseball competition. This division serves as a bridge between Little League Majors and more advanced levels of play.
Program Highlights
- Age Group: 13 years old (late-year 12-year-olds may also be eligible under Little League guidelines). Refer to the Little League Age Chart below to confirm eligibility. Please also refer to the "Intermediate Rules" newsfeed on our main page for information on aging into this division.
- Field Size: Players compete on an intermediate-sized field with:
- 70-foot base paths
- 50-foot pitching distance
- This prepares athletes for regulation-sized fields in higher divisions.
- Advanced Play: Focus on refining and advancing key baseball skills, including:
- Pitching and hitting
- Base running and defensive strategies
- Full-game rules and more complex in-game tactics.
- Teamwork & Development: Players continue to build on their understanding of:
- Positional play and game awareness
- Advanced team strategies and coordination
- Sportsmanship and competitive growth in a supportive environment
Program Details
- When: Twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 8 weeks, starting as soon as fields open and running until the end of June.
- Where: Practices and home games are held at OLS (Our Lady of the Snows).
- Time:
- Practices typically run from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
- Games occur during the week and on weekends, often running longer with irregular times.
- Interlocking Play: This division is interlocked with Calgary, providing players with the opportunity to compete against teams from neighboring leagues.
